What’s Involved

The PADI open water diver course is specially designed by PADI to give a varied interactive learning experience. The course combines easy SCUBA theory modules with practical underwater sessions, which you then put into practice with open water dives.

The Red Sea Water World is a purpose built training facility with highly experienced PADI Instructors. By choosing our facility to become a PADI open water diver, you will have the chance to immerse yourself into the Red Sea right from the beginning. All of our confined water training sessions take place in the shallow and protected house reef – just footsteps away from the centre. So jump in and enjoy the adventure.

Duration & Content


4 – 5 days


5 Theory sessions, 5 confined water skill sessions, 4 Open Water dives to a maximum depth of 18m


Minimum age 10 and ability to float for 10mins and swim 200m unaided and without stopping

What this qualification means

You will be qualified to a depth of 18m and able to dive with a buddy independently.
